Final Results of Day 15 of "Create $15K in 4 weeks" challenge

Wow it's been the busy couple weeks. Last day at my job, preparing to leave Seattle for a month and a half etc. Just now finally got a minute to publish my results (calculated them a few days ago).
Here is where I was on Dec 4:
  • new cash in hand $6033.73,
  • opportunities confirmed that will bring cash but after Dec 4 ( in December and January): $15676.61.

All this time as I was wondering whether I am on track or not. It started with when I realized that I wasn't clear on how I will measure: but cash I will get by Dec 4 or by cash that got committed by Dec 4 but not necessarily make it to me by that time. Lesson learned for future challenges to be super clear about measuring the result!
I think to be on the safe side and stay in integrity I would consider it that I didn't meet it (as I did create $15K in cash by Dec 4).
I have mixed feelings about how this went:
  • on one side I am super excited that I generated even $6K in cash on top of my planned salary.
  • on another I am sitting here wondering if I "failed" and what that would mean to my capacity to meet my goals. And can I really be a life coach supporting other people with their goals if I can't meet mine.

So sitting in this dualistic feelings here is what I decided:
  • Celebrate! I get to celebrate the result. $6K with $15K total prospects that came from sources other than my planned salary is a huge accomplishment! Like they say: shoot for the moon, if you miss you still end up among the stars! :)
  • Acknowledge what worked well:
  • doing the challenge with the buddy, connecting with her on the regular basis and supporting each other
  • going with the flow,
  • focusing on creating value for others and things that are fun
  • be open to all ways to manifest the intention, not just the ones I expect or seem realistic
  • remember the Why behind the goal. I knew that the purpose here was to breakthrough my doubt that I can generate money without or on top of my job, and also to generate finances for some big expenses coming up in January and March.
  • What could be done even better in the future:
  • create clear measurement criteria
  • create tracking for the goal and do it regularly rather than once every other week. If I don't track where I am at, I cannot adjust in a timely manner and am more likely to miss the goal
  • take more risks and doing things outside the box
  • plan realistically time commitment required and account for my workload
  • plan time to nurture myself and rest to stay in the flow.

Now my job at Boeing is over. Friday was my last day. For the first time since 2003 I on't have a job and don't plan to get one yet. Looking forward to the next few months of rest, exploration of what's next and going with the flow while still taking inspired action on what calls me.
I will keep sharing my adventures!
Stay tuned!
